CPR / First Aid / AED

 

 

 

 

We offer a variety of American Heart Association and Red Cross classes that can be taken in full or just the skills test for those who have already completed and passed the online training.  Upon successful completion of all portions the student will receive a Course Completion Card that is valid for 2 years. All are appropriate for beginners that have no experience.

 

Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider – offered as in person, blended or skills testing only

Since the skills portion is in person for both options, either course meet the requirements for an person class. This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in hospital and pre-hospital settings. This course covers these topics:

  • High-quality CPR for adults, children, and infants
  • The AHA Chain of Survival, specifically the BLS components
  • Important early use of an AED
  • Effective ventilations using a barrier device
  • Importance of teams in multi rescuer resuscitation and performance as an effective team member during multi rescuer CPR
  • Relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants

Heartsaver CPR First Aid AED – offered as in person, blended or skills testing only

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (i.e. OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting. This course covers the topics:

  • First aid basics
  • Medical emergencies
  • Injury emergencies
  • Environmental emergencies
  • Preventing illness and injury
  • Adult CPR and AED use
  • Opioid-associated life-threatening emergencies
  • Child CPR AED and Infant CPR

Community CPR – offered in person 

Friends and Family Community CPR is designed for those who want to learn CPR but does not need a course completion card for a job or other requirements.  It is ideal for parents, grandparents, students and others interested in learning how to save a life.
