Learn About UsThe Creation of Lone Cedar Training Center
Lone Cedar Training Center was created as a way to give back to the community by teaching safe gun handling, self defense and make sure those that own guns are comfortable using them. Since then, we have added other courses including safety, CPR and first aid that complimented the original courses.
Meet the Instructors

Larry Curtis served over 20 years in the Army before retiring. As a combat veteran he has been training others for most of his career. He is both NRA and USCCA instructor qualified, RSO certified, and trained at the Sig Sauer Academy. He is always learning more to become an even better instructor. In his spare time, he enjoys USPSA and IDPA competition shooting and spending time with his family.
Marjorie Curtis has an unusually diverse background including public safety and human resources, but has always enjoyed teaching the most. She is an American Heart instructor, Red Cross Instructor, a Train the Trainer, OSHA certified and working on getting more certifications to assist Larry.
Andrew Teague grew up practicing many different martial arts. He has competed both nationally and internationally as a World Class Black Belt. He has stopped counting the number of medals he has won including a gold medal for his division at the Pan American Games in Trinidad. We are fortunate to have him instruct the self-defenses portion of the Situation Awareness classes and as a certified CPR & First Aid instructor.
